The scheme replaces an existing carpet warehouse as part of Peabody's Small Projects Framework.

The scheme is defined by three distinctive building masses, a four storey corner block, two three storey terrace houses, and a single storey courtyard wheelchair dwelling to the rear.

Wearside Road was granted planning in October 2017.
